Ham & Potato Soup

Ham & Potato Soup

Enjoy a cozy meal at home with this ham and potato soup recipe! Serves ~5 people 

What you’ll need:

  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups of diced ham
  • 2-3 medium/large potatoes (I used russet but any kind works)
  • 1 stalk of celery (about 1/2 cup)
  • 32 oz chicken broth
  • 5 Tbs butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • salt & pepper (to taste)


  1. Peel and chop potatoes into 2 inch cubes
  2. Dice celery into small pieces
  3. Add ham, potatoes, and celery into your pot and pour in your chicken broth
  4. Cook on a low boil for ~15 minutes or until your vegetables are tender
  5. Add your butter to a medium sized skillet and whisk in your flour and stir until golden colored
  6. Slowly add in your milk and stir often for 5 minutes until thickened
  7. Pour mixture into your pot and stir until combined
  8. Add salt and pepper to taste
