Boarding

Fairland Farms offers a very high quality boarding service for a limited number of horses. All of our staff are highly experienced in horse care, handling and first-aid and the facility offers unlimited riding and training options for a well-rounded and happy horse. We believe that it is extremely important for horses to get plenty of turnout all year round so they are out from morning until evening on a daily basis, with the only exception being extreme adverse weather. During the summer months, horses are turned out overnight and come in during the day to get relief from the sun.

Since we have very limited availability on boarding it is a good idea to get your name on the waiting list well in advance!

Please note - As a training facility, board alone is not offered. Our philosophy supports a program designed for riders who want to broaden their knowledge and abilities. Even though competing is not mandatory, we require a minimum of one lesson per week or other training services equivalent to a minimum of four lessons per month. Accounts falling below the minimum will be charged a “Lesson/Service surcharge” equal to the difference.

THE GOLDEN RULE: Each horse boarded should be exercised a minimum of 3 days per week to keep him or her happy and healthy and if weather permitting, one of those sessions should include a hack. Any neglected horses will be cared for and the owner will be billed.

Any of your tack and equipment kept at the farm must be CLEAN and tidy. Any tack that is not maintained at a satisfactory level will be cleaned for you and you will be billed $12 per item.

Board Rates

In order to accommodate the specific requirements of each horse, we currently offer two boarding plans.

Full Service Board includes:-

- Spacious 12' x 12'+ stalls that are well lighted and ventilated

- Daily turnout in large, well maintained pastures

- Up to two bales per week of excellent quality hay (Timothy/AA mixture)

- Up to 14 lbs per week of Tribute Essential KGC

- Up to 3 bags of shavings per week

- Stalls cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis

- Space for a tack trunk plus two saddle and bridle racks in one of our comfortable and clean tack room areas

- Hot and cold wash bay with rubber mats

- Full use of the arenas and facility

- Fans are provided in the summer and in winter, blankets (provided by owner) put on and off when necessary due to changes in weather

- Handling fees for the vet and farrier are included for up to two visits per month

Full Service rate - $520 per month (Does not include lessons or training)

Standard Board includes:-

- Spacious 10' x 12'+ stalls that are well lighted and ventilated

- Daily turnout in large, well maintained pastures

- Up to 1 1/2 bales per week of excellent quality hay (Timothy/AA mixture)

- Up to 7 lbs per week of Tribute Essential KGC

- Up to 7 lbs per week of Tribute Kalm Performer or Kalm Ultra

- Up to 2 bags of shavings per week

- Stalls cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis

- Space for a tack trunk, two saddle and bridle racks in one of our comfortable and clean tack room areas

- Hot and cold wash bay with rubber mats

- Full use of the arenas and facility

Standard Board rate - $456 per month (Does not include lessons or training)

PLEASE NOTE:

We require a 30-day written notice before removing your horse from the facility. There are no board refunds. Bills must be paid in full prior to removing your horse from the facility.
